Volvo Announces January 2012 Sales

Records Best January Since 2008

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Dec. 3, 2012) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 4,875 units, a 9.3 percent increase month-over-month and the best January since 2008.

The S60 sports sedan, one of two midsize luxury vehicles to earn IIHS' inaugural Top Safety Pick+ award, was the top seller for the month with 1,954 units sold, a 38.1 percent increase from January 2012.

Volvo Announces December Sales

Records Best December Since 2007

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Dec. 3, 2012) - Volvo Cars of North America, LLC, (VCNA) reported U.S. sales of 6,150 units, a 15.1 percent increase from December 2011 and the best since 2007. For the year, U.S. sales ended 1.3 percent higher than 2011 with a total of 68,117 units sold.

In 2012, the S60 sports sedan, one of two midsize luxury vehicles to earn IIHS' inaugural Top Safety Pick+ award, was the top seller with 23,356 units sold. The award-winning XC60 crossover finished the year in the second spot with 19,139 units sold, an impressive 48 percent increase versus 2011.

Volvo Owners Endorse Crash Avoidance Technology in IIHS Report

ROCKLEIGH, N.J. (Dec. 20, 2012) - Not only do Volvo owners value their vehicles' advanced crash avoidance technology but, according to a survey by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), most current owners would want crash avoidance technology on their next vehicle.
